Who Are We & What Do We Do?
The Board of Higher Education Accreditation was founded to promote higher education in the world of the
Academe. The World of Education is changing in a quick mode in a world of globalization with the use of the
internet. Today, many students study in foreign countries from their home countries by the use of computer
technology on the digital super highway. The use of such technology allows colleges and universities to offer
low tuition fees as classrooms are not needed. Many colleges and universities today allow students to
Graduate without residency requirements to receive their degree up to doctorate level.
The BHEA was formed to support the new mode of education rather than just the traditional requirements of
education. Many colleges and universities were formed over the past 10-yrs which operate without a
physical campus. All of their curriculum is done online through Distance Education in the computer realm.
One example, of Distance Education is the Cleveland Institute of Electronics. Their school sends manuals, and
labs to the student's home where the student takes computer online tests, and they do their labs. Once all of
the requirements are fulfilled, a final test is sent and the student must take it to receive their Degree.
The Board of Higher Education Accreditation is recognized for its roll in the Globalization of the Academe
around the world. Every college and university listed on our website has gone through tough analysis to make
sure the Prospective Student is not being burned by a Diploma Mill, etc. We hold ourselves responsible to
the public and make sure the colleges and universities listed now and in the future meet the criteria such as
having the proper credentials to assess and award any college and university degree to any student. The
BHEA has a loyalty to the schools and the students for the purpose of Higher Education. It is a two fold
purpose:
